AntiCorrosion Coatings

Coating, also known as weld overlay, is the process of depositing one material onto the surface of another to improve its properties (mainly corrosion resistance). W, H, S, specializes in GTAW-P-HW coatings, we also perform coatings using many other welding processes. The most common material for Oil & Gas coating is Nickel Alloy 625, but with the development of technology and advances in material properties we are discovering new alloys that could increase the life of your project.
W.H.S. adopts 8 welding processes for the coating.

Processes

  • GTAW-P-HW (pulsed hot wire for gas tungsten arc welding)
  • GTAW (arc welding with tungsten gas or TIG or Heli-Arc)
  • SAW (submerged arc welding)
  • SMAW (shielded metal arc welding or STICK)
  • GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding)
  • PAW (plasma arc welding)
  • PTAW (Plasma Transferred Arc Welding) powder feeding
  • PTAW (Plasma Transferred Arc Welding) powder feeding
  • The above processes use manual, semi-automatic and mechanized systems
